Basic familiarity with SMTP configurations
In CleverTap, add Mailercloud as your SMTP provider. (Exact menu labels can vary by plan/UI.)
Sign in to your CleverTap dashboard.
Open Channels → Email (or Email Settings/Providers).
Add Provider and choose Custom/Generic SMTP.
Enter the following values:

Save the provider; if CleverTap offers a test button here, send a test message.
In CleverTap, locate the Email callbacks / Webhooks section.
Copy the Callback URL for processing bounces/complaints/unsubscribes.
The URL format is provided by CleverTap. Keep it handy for the next step.
1. Log in to Mailercloud
Go to Mailercloud Panel and sign in with your credentials.
2. Navigate to API Platform
From the left sidebar, click on API Platform.
Use the toggle button to switch between Marketing Email Platform or API Platform.
3. Select CleverTap Integration
In the Integrations section, find CleverTap and click Connect.
This will open the CleverTap Integration Setup screen.
4. Copy SMTP Configuration
You’ll see your SMTP details (Server, Port, Username, Password).
Copy these values — you’ll need to paste them inside CleverTap → Email Settings.
5. Configure CleverTap with Mailercloud SMTP
Log in to your CleverTap dashboard.
Go to Settings→Channels → Email → Add Provider.
Select Custom/Generic SMTP and paste the SMTP details you copied from Mailercloud.
Save and test the connection.
6. Add Callback URL (during integration setup)
While setting up the integration in Mailercloud, you’ll see fields for Integration Name and Callback URL (as shown in the screenshot).
Copy the Callback URL from your CleverTap account and paste it here.
Enter a descriptive Integration Name (e.g., “CleverTap SMTP Relay”).
7. Complete Integration
Once all fields are filled, click Complete Integration.
Mailercloud and CleverTap are now connected — event callbacks (bounces, unsubscribes, spam reports) will automatically sync to CleverTap.
