# How to switch between different plans?

Learn how to switch between different plans and manage your email marketing journey with us.

Switching between different plans is easy. You can either [upgrade to a higher plan](https://help.mailercloud.com/what-are-the-plans-and-pricing-at-mailercloud) or [switch to a lower plan](https://help.mailercloud.com/what-are-the-plans-and-pricing-at-mailercloud) by following the simple steps mentioned in this help document.

## **Upgrading plan**

If you are currently enrolled in a [free plan](https://help.mailercloud.com/what-are-the-plans-and-pricing-at-mailercloud), then you can easily upgrade to a higher plan which can be a [premium plan or an enterprise plan](https://help.mailercloud.com/what-are-the-plans-and-pricing-at-mailercloud). By upgrading to a higher plan, you will get access to extended features, email sending volumes, and contacts. To upgrade, you can:-

-   Visit the account settings from the dashboard.

-   Tap/click on the "Upgrade plan" button.
    
-   You can switch to a premium or enterprise plan, and select email sending volumes and contacts based on your business needs.

-   Now, you can make the payments either offline or online mode. You can pay in GBP, INR or USD, against the applicable tax.

-   Once we receive your payment, we will send you a confirmation and the plan activation details will reflect in your account.
    
-   You can keep a track of your plan validity, usage, and performance from the dashboard.

## **Change plan**

You can easily navigate between any lower plan from your existing one. For instance, if you are using our [enterprise plan](https://help.mailercloud.com/what-are-the-plans-and-pricing-at-mailercloud) you can switch to a [premium or free plan](https://help.mailercloud.com/what-are-the-plans-and-pricing-at-mailercloud). Similarly, If you are using our premium plan then you can switch to a free plan. 

Based on your selection, we will allow you to activate your chosen plan immediately or after the end of your existing plan. To switch to a lower plan you can follow the below steps:-

-   Visit the account settings from the dashboard.
    
-   Tap/click on the "Change plan" button.

-   Select the email volumes and contacts if switching to a premium plan. If you are switching to a free plan, select the same.
    
-   Now, you can make the payments offline or online (if applicable). You can pay in GBP, INR or USD against the applicable tax. 
    
-   Once we receive your payment, we will send you a confirmation, and the plan activation details will reflect in your account.
    
-   You can keep track of your plan validity, usage, and performance from the dashboard.
